Marcus Levi "Marco" Simmer (born on June 14, 1977) is an American singer-songwriter, producer, multi-instrumentalist, and mangaka. Regarding his solo project, he goes by the alias Devil Child, having released two studio albums and five extended plays over the course of his career. He is also the frontman for the metal band Osmosis; Marco has been recognized for his face painting and adrenalized presence and, more importantly, his flexible vocal range that consists of falsetto, death growls, crooning, black metal-esque shrieks, "piss-take" rap, and some other techniques.

Simmer has a younger stepbrother, Lukas Crimbrook, who is currently the drummer for the industrial metal group Ergo an Ogre.
